HIT THE LIGHTS | AGES 13 TO 17
Learning to be a musician is what Musicology Performance Center is all about. Hit The Lights is our cornerstone program. This is where students learn one of the most important aspects of being a musician, how to play in a band. Students attend a 30 or 45 minute lesson, and a 3 hour rehearsal each week. The rehearsals are all driving toward a seasonal show in which our students play as a band at a professional venue. In this program, students learn how to set up their instruments for performance, get great tone, play with dynamics, and perform live on stage with other musicians. Hit The Lights performances are themed. Some themes will focus on a genre while others on a particular artist. Over the course of a year a student will have an opportunity to participate in performances ranging from Jazz to Heavy Metal!
