NYSSMA
Many student at Musicology Performance Center also participate in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) festival. NYSSMA is a state wide program where students are evaluated by judges and given written comments and a score on their music development. Students who score the highest in NYSSMA can be asked to participate in ensembles All County, All-State and even at a national level.
The instructors at Musicology can help students pick, learn and perfect their NYSSMA piece. Preparation for NYSSMA at Musicology is available on all instruments and levels as well as all genres such as Classical, Jazz, Band or Choir. One on One instruction can help students get the highest scores. We are proud to have multiple All-County and All-State participants as a part of our student population.
